Won Conductor and Bal Seal Engineering(by KAMAN) at 2025 EPTK !

The 21st International Electric Power Tech Korea 2025 (EPTK 2025) was held from May 14 to 16 at COEX Hall C in Seoul. Since its launch in 2003, the exhibition has steadily grown in scale and scope, evolving into a converged platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies in electricity, energy, and environmental industries. With a focus on innovation in the energy sector, EPTK has become a prestigious global event introducing the future of new energy industries.

Among the standout participants were Won Conductor Co., Ltd., a Korean company recognized for its exceptional expertise in the heavy electrical industry for over 25 years, and Bal Seal Engineering—a world-renowned specialist in spring seals, connectors, and spring contacts, founded in 1958 and now part of the Kaman Corporation.

Bal Seal Engineering is a global leader in the design and manufacture of custom-engineered sealing, connecting, and conducting components. Their solutions are widely applied across industries such as aerospace, medical devices, automotive, robotics, semiconductors, and notably, power transmission and distribution—a sector in which Won Conductor plays a major role. With over 65 years of engineering innovation, Bal Seal is known for delivering highly reliable and high-performance solutions that address customers' most demanding technical challenges.

Alan Lam, General Manager of Bal Seal Engineering Asia, remarked on the long-standing partnership:

"Won Conductor has been a valued partner of ours for over 20 years. As our official distributor in South Korea, they play a crucial role in delivering our tailored solutions to Korean customers. With deep industry knowledge, technical expertise, and strong networks, Won Conductor serves as an essential representative of our brand in Korea."

Founded in December 2000, Won Conductor has operated under the slogan “People Who Build Trust” with a vision focused on “achieving CF&RE100 through ESG management.” The company designs, manufactures, and supplies a full range of products for ultra-high voltage (UHV) electric systems—such as overhead transmission components, high-voltage circuit breaker connectors, and underground cable joint systems.

CEO Jisang Hyun highlighted the company's core technical differentiation:

“Previously, customers had to procure separate conductors and assemble our spring and band parts themselves, which caused inconvenience and inventory burdens. To solve this, we began offering custom-assembled modules—including conductors, seals, springs, and connectors—optimized for high-current, multi-point contact performance. These modules not only simplify installation and reduce assembly time but also significantly lower costs, earning us strong trust and satisfaction from our clients.”

Looking ahead, CEO Hyun expressed his vision for global growth:

“Our goal is to become a champion organization that can meet all needs in the ultra-high voltage sector through global collaboration. We believe in complementary partnerships—leveraging each other’s strengths rather than doing everything alone. We look forward to forming meaningful partnerships that can create powerful results together.”
